"The purpose of Presbyterian Men is to promote the Kingdom of God worldwide by encouraging men to serve Jesus Christ in the work of the church and to follow him in the vocations of life." This is the mission statement of the National Council of Presbyterian Men, Presbyterian Church (USA), from which the Parkway Men's group received its charter in November 1995.
We would like to invite all men to attend our monthly dinner meetings & activities held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm.

In May of 2003, Parkway's Presbyterian Men's Organization established the MOC Youth Activities Fund and committed to its ongoing financial support. Total contributions to date have exceeded $4,800! This fund was created to provide support to families of Parkway who need financial assistance in order for their children to attend church sponsored camps, conferences and other Presbyterian sponsored events. The purpose for this notice is not only to remind the men of our commitment to our youth but also to remind our members of the fund's existence and its availability to those who might require some help. Requests for assistance can be made to either of our pastors. Funds are available to support 3rd Grade through Senior High Youth. Members of the Men's Organization are reminded of the suggested commitment of $25 per year toward this fund. Contributions are also welcome from all sources through memorials and direct donations to the fund. Please put "MOC Youth Activities Fund" in the memo line of your check. In the establishment of this fund, the men felt that it is essential for all of our youth to be able to attend those events which will enhance their spiritual growth. At this time when many organizations of our church and in our city are in need of our benevolent dollars, please consider our youth's Christian development as worthy of your financial support. The Men of the Church would like to thank everyone, for making our project, Bar-B-Que, a great success! With your participation, we raised over $1400, which will help support our children's scholarship program as well as other projects in the church. Of course, a project of this magnitude could not be possible, if not for the hard work by our men. Our thanks and gratitude for the hard work goes to: C. D. Williams, Fred Ward, Will Vickers, Bob Parrish, Regil Parkman, John McCrowell, Wade MacManus, Wayne Linville, Joe Choplin & Gerry Brown. |
