• Any child currently in grades 2-8 can be a part of The Joyful Noise choir.
• Music reading ability is not required.
• The Joyful Noise sings in worship at least once per month, generally alternating between the 9:00AM and the 11:00 AM Sunday services, and for special services such as Lessons and Carols in December, blended services and other special occasions. New members are welcome at any time!

If you are an accomplished player of any of the following instruments and would like to share your gifts and skills for our worship services and other events, please contact Sally.

• Piano or Organ Guitar Bass (upright bass, acoustic or electric)
• Orchestral or Folk Strings such as violin/fiddle/viola/cello/harp/dulcimer/
• Other Folk instruments such as mandolin/banjo/autoharp
• Percussion of any kind, especially African, Caribbean, Latin, and also timpani, xylophone, etc.
• Woodwinds including recorder or pennywhistle
• Brass
• Handbells or any other instrument not listed here!!!!!!

• The Chancel Choir is open to adults of any age from the very young to the young at heart.
• High school and college aged singe rs are also invited and encouraged to join.
• Music reading ability is not required. All that is required is that members have a love of singing “hymns, songs and spiritual songs” in praise and thanksgiving to God.
• The Chancel Choir serves weekly at the 11:00 AM Sunday service as well as at special services such as Lessons and Carols in December, and other services such as Taizé Prayer, the Longest Night, and Sherwood Forest area combined church worship events.

• The First Light Band serves in music ministry at the 9:00 AM Sunday “First Light” service.
• Because of the contemporary style and nature of this service, the Band is made up of singers and instrumentalists. The instrumentation is typically that which makes up a folk or acoustic rock band.  Players must demonstrate a level of skill that enables them to play accurately in tune, tempo and in the varieties of styles that includes folk, blues, gospel, and rock and roll.
• New singers and skilled players are welcome to join the band at any time.
• The First Light Band also serves at scheduled blended services throughout the year and at other special services such as Lessons and Carols in December, the Longest Night, and Taizé Prayer.

• Parkway Presbyterian Church is pleased to own a three-octave set of Malmark handbells plus a three-octave set of Malmark choirchimes.
• Bells and chimes are used throughout the year in many and various ways to enhance our worship by means of mood and color as well as accompaniment for singing in addition to bell ensemble pieces.
• The Parkway Ringers serve in worship about once per month and at special services such as Lessons and Carols in December.
• There is an ongoing need for ringers.
• Prior ringing experience is not necessary, but a ringer must have the ability to read music notes.
