- The First Light Band serves in music ministry at the 9:00 AM Sunday “First Light” service.
- Because of the contemporary style and nature of this service, the Band is made up of singers and instrumentalists. The instrumentation is typically that which makes up a folk or acoustic rock band. Players must demonstrate a level of skill that enables them to play accurately in tune, tempo and in the varieties of styles that includes folk, blues, gospel, and rock and roll.
- New singers and skilled players are welcome to join the band at any time.
- The First Light Band also serves at scheduled blended services throughout the year and at other special services such as Lessons and Carols in December, the Longest Night, and Taizé Prayer.
Rehearsals are Tuesday nights* from 7:00 – 8:00 PM in the Choir Room.
